Why is this test important? UTI or urinary tract infection are 50 times more common in women. With conditions ranging from cystitis to more severe infections of the kidneys 70% of all UTI,s are caused by E coli from the patients own bowels. This test checks for UTI, both upper and lower incorporating the bladder, kidneys and urethra.
